Drunken driving arrests drop in Ann Arbor over past 5 years, but no clear answer as to why

Drunken driving arrests are down in Ann Arbor, but police officials aren't sure why.  In the past five years, drunken driving arrests have fallen about 28 percent, a gradual decline each year that officials say could be tied to better awareness of the penalties or fewer officers on the streets.
